FAQ

Does cropping delete content?

No. Cropping sets the CropBox display area; the content remains in the file and can be restored by re-cropping to the full page. Do not use cropping for redaction - hidden content is still extractable.

What if margins differ between pages?

The crop box is applied proportionally to each page based on its own size, which works best for uniformly laid out documents like scanned books. For odd pages, use "Current page only".

Are rotated (landscape) pages handled?

Yes. The tool accounts for each page’s rotation property, so the crop matches exactly what you see in the preview.

Will the file get smaller?

Barely, since nothing is removed. Pair it with "Compress PDF" to reduce size, or "Reflow PDF" to make scanned books comfortable on small screens.
